Who we are

Stadiu (stadiu.app) is an independent, solo-run project. Contact details for privacy questions or requests will be added here shortly.

What we collect

Stadiu has no accounts, no sign-up, and no forms that collect personal information directly. One third-party service processes limited data on our behalf:

• PostHog (analytics, hosted in the EU at eu.i.posthog.com). Before you respond to the cookie banner (or if you reject it), PostHog only counts anonymous page views using a rotating, salted hash of your IP address and browser generated on our server — it sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, and the hash can't be used to re-identify or follow you across days. Once you accept the cookie banner, it switches to full tracking: product usage (which features you use and how you navigate the map), standard technical metadata PostHog collects automatically (browser, OS, device type, approximate location derived from IP, referring page), and a cookie/local storage identifier to distinguish sessions.

The map data itself (clubs, stadiums, locations) is public information and isn't linked to who's viewing it.

Legal basis

The anonymous, cookieless page-view counting described above doesn't store anything on your device and relies on our legitimate interest in basic, non-identifying usage statistics. Full tracking (with a cookie/local storage identifier) only runs on your explicit consent (the cookie banner), which you can withdraw at any time from Settings → Cookie preferences.

Third parties & data transfers

PostHog EU processes analytics data within the EU. Vercel Inc., which hosts this site, may process standard server logs in the United States under its own data processing terms. If you click "Support this project", you leave Stadiu for Ko-fi (ko-fi.com), which has its own separate privacy policy — we don't see or receive any payment or account information from that transaction. If you click "Feedback", you leave Stadiu for Canny (canny.io), a third-party feedback board with its own separate privacy policy — posting there may require an email address, which Canny collects directly, not us.

Retention

Analytics events are retained according to PostHog's standard retention periods and are not kept indefinitely by us.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your data under GDPR. Since Stadiu doesn't identify individual visitors, most requests are best handled by simply withdrawing consent in Settings, which stops future collection immediately.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the project evolves. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.
